Look 496 Triathlon 【三鐵車、計時車】試騎心得 @ Nature's pencil studio【自然之筆工作室】

騎上車一如往常通過南湖大橋後開始練習，按照自己平常的步驟踩踏，因為車上還沒裝碼表，我在巡航幾分鐘後，才抬起手看手上的920xt，很驚訝!巡航的速度居然是40幾公里，但從地面傳來的震動及車子整體的穩定度，跟我上一台抗合金的計時車完全一樣，但那是30己的巡航感覺，因此沒看錶前，讓我錯以為當時速度為30幾

這次我第一次騎全碳計時車，且是一級車架，他的穩定度讓我驚訝，好的車子真的是默默的幫助您，別指望一換馬上就可以讓你騎得很快，想要騎快還是要有腿力及心肺耐力。它只是能默默地幫助你節省體力，尤其是三鐵游泳完，騎車完之還要跑步，它可讓你剩更多體力一決勝負。

而前輪碟輪確實不合適三鐵賽，我試騎時，光是要控制直線巡航就浪費我很多體力，更別說還要在游泳上岸後，手臂已經過度負荷的情況下。且我在試車過程還差點被強風吹倒，這風險實在太大。

再談後輪碟輪，原以為我會駕馭不了，從去年8月微風三鐵結束後，我已經沒有再練習平路了，但今天在相同的訓練距離，所花費的時間跟以前幾乎相差無幾，按以往會越調整越好的情況下，證明我應該足以駕馭這後輪。試車期間，會經過兩段短陡坡，我抽車上去，後碟輪的剛性讓我印象深刻，是我以往輪組oval985遠遠不及。最近還是需要把前輪換掉，不然浪費太多體力在控制直線巡航，危險性也高。最後想說的是............騎這車真的讓人有回不去的感覺....................難怪小偉哥一直叫我換BH TT。

Look 496 Triathlon 介紹

The Look 496 Tri is a by-product of the 496 Athens frame developed for the track. To precisely comply with triathlon practice, the weight and stiffness have been reduced. The axis of the seat post with a specific stem and an incline of 76 degrees grant exceptional aerodynamics. The headset also is specific along with the frame integrated monobloc head tube.

Triathlon Specific Geometry - The Look 496 Tri is specifically designed for triathlons and time trials. It shares some of the characteristics of the 496 Track (PKV), which was originally developed for Olympic Federation track teams around the world. The use of a specific seat collar at the seat tube section adjusts the seat angle to 78 degrees. The 496 Tri is an extremely efficient frame, providing energy maximizing lateral stiffness. Every pedal stroke drives the bike forward.
Monobloc Construction The bottom bracket is the heart of the frame. In order to maximize pedaling efficiency. The Look 496 Tri is constructed using the monobloc process. A specifically shaped oversized rear triangle results in a perfect transmission of power between the bottom bracket and the wheel.
Offset Aerodynamic Monoblade Fork - The Look Monoblade fork was the first of its kind. Originally developed in the 1990's, the fork was designed to improve lateral rigidity as well as slice through the wind. The aerodynamics of the 496 Tri were tested in the wind tunnel at the Formula 1 Center in Nevers Magny-Cours. The revised design of the 496 has been improved by 2% over the previous generations. The basic result is 60 hundredths of a second per kilometer time savings, thanks in part to the extremely low drag coefficient of the fork.
From The Track To Triathlon - When looking at the Look 496 Tri, it is evident that the design has evolved from the medal winning 496 TRACK frames. The 496 platform was developed to match the strict requirements of the top high end athletes of the French federation. In total, Look impressively captured 12 medals during the last Athens Olympic Games: France, China, Japan, Germany, Canada. This valuable experience and feedback has had a direct result on the evolution of the 496 TRI, already making it one of the most sought after TRI frames on the market.
Handmade: 50 Hours - It requires no less than 50 hours to hand build this frame from scratch in Look's own factories.
Carbone Mix of HR and HM - The goal was to reduce the weight and the stiffness of the original track frame to make it suitable for short and long distance triathlons. Using a custom mix of HR and HM carbon fiber butted tubes, an efficient yet lighter and more compliant frame was born.
